Open Division Eligibilty and Payout
Beginning in 2008, Future Fortunes Bonus Money will also be available to horses in open competition. Open Division Bonus Money can be won by any eligible Future Fortunes horse, regardless of age. Contestants must provide the horse's registered name and a copy of the horse's papers, and must designate on the event's entry form that they are competing on a Future Fortunes horse.
Bonus Money at open events will be paid on a 4D format based on the time of the fastest Future Fortunes horse with 1/2 second splits between divisions. Bonus money will only be paid for the go-round or race held on the Saturday of the event. Bonus Money will be distributed as follows: 70% to the horse owner (as shown on the papers), 20% to the horse breeder, and 10% to the stallion nominator. Owner money will be paid with two weeks following each event. All breeder and stallion money will be paid out at end of year.
There will be two Open Division events in 2008. They will be the Summer ShootOut in Oklahoma City, OK on August 16, 2008 and the Fortune 5 Finals in Tunica, MS on November 15, 2008. Each of these events will offer $10,000 in Bonus Money. As Bonus Money increases, additional events will be added nationwide.
